Well I am back, from the jungle where there was some girls singing acapella for some reason. Wonderful voices though I will give them that. I didn't stay long since I had to record this show for you all, send your grievances to the email that no one ever sends anything too. Thank you all for being patient while I got around to this episode, Christmas Eve and Day and the day after that did not allow me much time to see any movies. After a short hiatus I have returned with Star Wars in tow, but if any of you looked there wasn't shit for new released leading up to Star Wars so I don't think too many people were shocked I did have anything new. And even at that I wasn't all that interested in the "old" releases either. Granted I can definitely say that there are a couple movies I probably could have gone out and seen but I opted to do other stuff instead. Either case I try to keep my review of The Last Jedi as spoiler free as possible and after that I give multiple warnings regarding spoilers before I go headfirst in all the details. Hell I even included a jumping point to avoid it just in case. Oh and stay for near the end as I recording this evening as well and the box office was up to date at that point so I added this weekend's box office at the end of the show! Well enjoy!

Whoops I was so busy playing Batman: The Telltale Series I forgot to upload this last night, my mistake! I just bought it last week and I had to buy a 2 TB external hard drive so I actually could play the game.  When I bought my 500 GB Xbox One I figured that would be plenty of space and today it can hold a whole 7 games! So stupid Microsoft and, to an extent, Sony knew that we would need these external hard drives or "upgrade" and buy a newer system with more space. It's weak sauce. Anyways sorry for that small rant, this show is a little short this week, really bad news week, and as such it is shorter. Well anyways I hope you enjoy all what I bring to the table this week and enjoy the show!

And I'm back to update this, my memory has to just be getting worse as time goes by. Either that or because this is recorded I choose to not dedicate things to memory. Either case the newest Thor is awesome and funny. Moonlight was the Best Picture winner for the Oscars, does it earn that spot in my humble opinion? Well you will have to listen to find out. If you are wondering about the song, it has nothing to do with either movie but I like this song right now and it makes it easy for me to pick. Well I think I padded this out enough, enjoy the show!

Since I will be on vacation I should have time to watch some movies and anime and maybe just maybe get some time to play The Witcher 3. Heck right now I'm watching Spectre because I'm pretty sure I never watched it since I saw it in theaters. Look in the mirror, what do you see? Is it the clothes that makes the man? Is it the gun that he carries or the car the he drives? No it is the manners that he brings into the room, a true gentleman begins with this...Did that sound like something from Kingsman? I tried, frankly I'm just bullshitting trying to remember the speech that Harry had in the trailers/movie. Hopefully I was close, frankly I do believe with our notion of the gentleman spy they have to be suave and calm and cool and collect, among other things. I'm pretty sure we would think of James Bond the second someone mentions a spy. Some others I'm sure come up like Secret Agent, Super Dragon...or maybe not. Well enjoy the show!

Review: It (2017)

Opening and Closing Song: You Got It (The Right Stuff) by New Kids on the Block

Before you start questioning the music choice, this was a minor but funny part that one of "The Losers Club" was a closet fan of NKOTB. So this song was in fact in It. Aside from that I regret choosing such a plain name for the episode when I could have used the tagline for the movie and even saying in the movie as well, which is, "You'll float too." Or some variation thereof. The show was initially a lot longer but after editing I believe I trimmed off about 14 minutes worth of dead space so I'm glad I decided against releasing the episode just to have it there, instead of a finished product. Well I think that is all I have for you this week so have fun and enjoy the show!

Review: Erased

Opening and Closing Song: Re:Re by Asian Kung-Fu Generation

What would you do if you had an ability that took you back a couple minutes into the past to fix a wrong? What would you do with it? Would you talk to that cute person that walked across from you, or would you save a child from getting into an accident? Better yet what would you do if it sent you back to childhood to stop a bigger tragedy from happening?...Well I think that's enough for the questions, yes this show uses this premise and takes it on a 12 episode journey. What did I think of it? Well you will just have to listen to the show to find out, enjoy!

I tried something a little different aside from the reviews and the Box Office Report. In lieu of the news I talk about how truly lousy this summer was. Sure there were a couple gems among what was released but I feel that I am not alone in saying this is one of the worst summers in recent memory. I apologize that I brought up mostly numbers to get my point across but somehow I couldn't shut up about it for 55 minutes. Well enjoy the show!

I am uploading this without doing any edits for the moment so I apologize for the lack of music and the inclusion of all of the dead space but I want this released to keep up with the schedule. Review: Dunkirk

Opening and Closing Song: The White Cliffs of Dover by Vera Lynn (There were no songs to pick from so I searched for "popular" WWII songs and this is one that came up. Part of the reason I chose this was because the Cliffs of Dover was in fact mentioned in Dunkirk, however they were not seen.)

So the review for Dunkirk took a little while longer than I had planned, however I thought that it was one of my better reviews since the story and characterization was so light it gave me the time to give you my thoughts on other things with the movie. As is the standard with most shows I do the Box Office Report and the news. I have a couple bits for the Closing Comments...and that is the show. Enjoy!

I thought about being plain and merely titling this show after the Planet of the Apes film I review, but I decided to have a little fun. Afterwards though I remember I reviewed a movie a little while back with the title, This Means War. Having remembered that I began to worry that I may have accidentally repeated episode titles. A mistake I believe I have not yet made. I breathed a small sigh and I found the episode, that being Episode 188, and found out that I did not put it as a title at all. So despite running over on the time I would have preferred for this episode I had a lot of fun just talking about the movies and my goings on from the weekend, and I hope you do too. Enjoy the show!

I will admit I am having a little difficulty finding the proper name for the theme, and until I'm told or see differently this will stick for now.

Who would win in a fight between Wonder Woman and The Mummy? If I were a betting man, and I am. I would probably say that Wonder Woman would win on a heads on fight. The Mummy does have the perk of having legions of the undead at her disposal, and I mean if Wonder Woman can use her abilities then I suppose that is only fair that The Mummy would be able to too. All things considered I still think that Wonder Woman would win that fight. What do you think? Sound off on the page or send me an email that could actually be a really fun little debate. Yep everyone this is a long one, the up and downside of missing a week. But I'm glad to return and I hope you all enjoy the show!

You ever reference something and the person you were talking to didn't understand what you were talking about? Enter Peter Quill, a man far removed from his home world and can only reference things from the 70s and 80s. Thankfully for us Peter is a humble man ;) and is happy to explain to his alien friends and family exactly what these references are....Wait I'm being told that isn't what Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is about...Then what did I go see? Did I just make this all up to pad out the description? Did it work? Are people already bored with it? All jokes aside that first part is technically an element of Guardians, albeit a really small part of the movie(s) as a whole. Enjoy the show!

Review: American Ultra

Opening and Closing Song: Pua Nani O Hawaii by Leimamo Fish and Michael Scott

Despite lacking the thrills the kills I still managed to make this episode into 50+ minutes long. Also the song does in fact come American Ultra, it's kind of calming which is nice. Almost nice enough to use for the ending of each show. That won't happen but it's a nice thought. A couple more sentences and I'll have this padded out so it looks like something important was typed here. I kind of lament not having seen anything else this week, however, considering the week I had I'm glad I still am trying to keep up and get these episodes out so you all can enjoy them. Review: The Fate of the Furious

Is this a case of too little too late? God only knows but I know this movie is big enough that I can't skip out on it. That and I've seen the other 7 million movies that came before it so I can't stop now. Exaggeration aside The Fate of the Furious isn't too bad, in my opinion better than Furious 7 despite receiving the same score (I think). Well I could keep rambling on but I think this will work so please enjoy the show!

As with years prior I talk about my weekend from Friday-Sunday. What panels I went to, what anime I watched, and the things in between like the Dealer's Room. I'll admit the show went a little longer than I figured it would but that just means more for you to enjoy! If you want the long and short of it, I had a good time as always. As promised the brand new episode of The NC Experience! I don't have much to add so I'll just keep typing until I feel like this has been padded out. So is my disinterest in movies like Power Rangers or even Beauty and the Beast because I am getting older? Or is it because I see so many movies that it's hard to impress me anymore? I have wondered about this, so I feel like it is going to take a lot for a movie to completely wow me like The Dark Knight did. I bet it's a combination of the two and maybe some other factors. One thing I noticed during my review for Ordinal Scale that I brought up but didn't follow up on was the "ghost" AI, I'll remain vague but it ties a lot of what I couldn't bring up for the second half of the film. In retrospect I wouldn't have brought it up in this review unless I was going to go more in depth and ruin the whole thing for you all. I also failed to mention that I liked how the movie developed Kirito's and Asuna's relationship. I felt the movie did a good job overall with character development as well as the aforementioned relationship.

As I type this we are on the cusp of the Oscars 2017, and coming in close to said event is my review of Arrival so I believe I now can say I saw a little over half of the Best Picture nominees. I am going to take advantage of over long program and this should be out before the Best Picture is called. Nonetheless as you can see I watched Underworld and I can say it is an upgrade from Awakening but how much of an upgrade you will just have to tune in and see. Enjoy the show!
