Episode 135: Moneyball

Hey everyone, I'll be short since my spacebar is screwed up. There's plenty of news to be had, although most of it wasn't too exciting. The Trailer Spot this week is Happy Feet Two. Then following up is the Box Office Report. And for reviews this week it's Moneyball, Abduction, and The Warrior's Way. And don't forget the closing comments. Enjoy the show!

Episode 134: Drive

Have you ever wanted to be a stunt driver? Yeah, me neither. However if I were as cool as Ryan Gosling was in that movie I might reconsider. So somehow I ended up talking about the news for like 13 minutes, still not sure how. For the Trailer Spot it's What's Your Number? seriously this movie has generic written all over it, or rather the trailer implies that it's going to be a generic romantic comedy. I talk about the Box Office Report and then for reviews this week it's Drive and Spirited Away. I know it's a really odd combination but it worked out better than I could've imagined. So yeah enjoy the show!

Minisode 23: You Can (Not) Advance Baka, Unless You Can Summon the Beasts to Pass the Test

Yes I do think this is the longest title I have ever thought up, so for this minisode I'm bringing you two anime titles that are fairly recent. The first is Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance. If you ever loved Eva at one point in your life please for the love of God watch this as soon as possible. While this is still a re-imagining of the middle of the series it's going to be hard to make the comparison until after watching or after another viewing. And even if you don't like the story of Evangelion, watch it for the animation. You'll be hard pressed to find better as of this posting. And then there's the second series, Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts. Well it starts out with an interesting premise and then kinda throws it away after a little while, so right now it's kind of in the slice of life category. However it's incredibly funny, and is slightly meta when I think about it. So yeah those are the two titles I'll be reviewing this week enjoy the show!

Episode 133: Trust Me, Contagion Only Lasts 127 Hours

Personally I think this was one of the better episodes I've recorded by myself. It went by quickly, maybe it's because I had two movies that were kinda hard to describe. So there was a little news to be had, and I think besides the reviews the biggest thing this week was the Trailer Spot with Abduction starring Taylor Lautner and then Breaking Dawn Part 1, yes I done did the trailer. Also don't forget the Box Office Report. And for reviews this week I cover Contagion and 127 Hours. Before I leave things to you people for my closing comments I briefly give you an overview of what to expect for next week. Enjoy the show!

Episode 132: Obscure and Pointless

When it came down to doing this episode I wasn't quite sure what I could do since I hadn't watched anything that came out this week in theaters and based on how the box office numbers came in I'd say most people didn't bother either. So on Sunday my brother and I went to buy a movie on DVD and that's where my review comes from. So there's a little bit of news, although in retrospect it was rather boring. The Trailer Spot this week is Bunraku, it has Woody Harrelson, Josh Hartnett, and Gackt in it so it definitely made me raise an eyebrow. There's the Box Office Report. And finally the review, which I made a point to not reveal until the whole review was over. Also don't forget the Closing Comments so please enjoy the show!

Opening Song- Teardrop by Massive Attack (the House Theme Song)

Minisode 22: Highschool of the Dead- The Return of Spice & Wolf

Zombies! And boobs! Put both together and you get a show like H.O.T.D. which is pretty much what the show is about. While the story is about teenagers and their survival during the zombie apocalypse, boobs jiggle and zombies get killed. I hope that people watch this show, assuming they are old enough, but this show is definitely a highlight in a relatively weak year for anime. Following my review of Highschool of the Dead is Spice and Wolf II, if you haven't listened to my review of the first season I would like to direct you to Minisode 10. I don't have to get into much detail about the new season of Spice and Wolf, other than it's filled with business and it's filled with a man falling for a wolf deity. I heavily recommend both seasons to anyone who is interested. Well I hope you enjoy the show!
